What is Maplingo?
A map game that builds a real mental map of your city: its main roads, its landmarks, which way things are and how it all connects. Short daily runs mix different kinds of games, so it never turns into one long quiz.
Is it free?
Yes. Maplingo is free to play, with no sign-up. If we ever offer a paid plan, what it includes and its price will be shown clearly before you pay, and the free game stays free.
Do I need an account?
No. There's nothing to sign in to. Play right away.
Where's my progress saved?
In your browser, on this device. It isn't on a server, so it won't appear in another browser or a private window, and clearing this site's data erases it.
Does it use my location?
No. Pick a city and play.
Can I use it while driving?
Please don't. Maplingo is for learning, not navigating. Play before a trip, as a passenger, or once you've arrived.
How do I delete everything?
Use Start over on the Progress screen, or clear this site's data in your browser. Either erases your progress, streak and badges. Because we don't hold a copy, it can't be undone.
I paid for something and need help.
Maplingo doesn't sell anything today. If paid plans arrive and you have a problem with a purchase, a subscription or a refund, email us from the address you used and we'll sort it out.
How do I make a privacy request?
Email us with what you'd like. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what Maplingo keeps and where, which today is almost nothing.
A road, name or landmark is wrong.
